I think Mallory and Madeline Joy both flow really well. Nicole Joy sounds really choppy and Allison Joy just doesn't sound meant to be. But I do love Madeline joy the most. Just curious, what's the last name so I could say if it sounds good as a whole?

Out of your names, I prefer Madeline. It's classic and will work well for your daughter as an adult, but as a child, you can call her Maddy which is easy to say and remember, two important features for a young child. Mallory means unlucky, which you might not mind, but I tend to factor in the meanings of names when I decide if I like them. I loved Deirdre until I learned it meant sorrow, and it kind of lost a little whimsy. I agree with some other who have said you could combine Allison and Madeline to make Madison, but Madison is so popular that there will surely be a lot of Madison's by the time she enters school. Again, something to consier. I love Joy as a middle name. It's underused today and it's so cute and short, that it's made for a little girl. Plus, you could call her MJ if you name her Madeline Joy. So, if you want to have a less than common name, but by no means unusual, go for Madeline. It's different without being out there. And then there are all those Madeline books to look forward to. Hope this helps.

I vote for Madeline Joy. My best friend's name is Madeline and I was never crazy about the name, but Madeline Joy sounds good.

I really like Madeline and Allison, and I think Madison would make a great comprimise. What about Valerie Joy or Olivia Joy? I think they're both really pretty, and Valerie would work for your daughter as a child and as an adult. Good luck!

I like Madeline. A cute nickname growing up then is always Maddie. I think that Allison and Nicole are too common. Also, if you DID go with Allison, rethink the spelling. I remember having to write someones name and asking how they spell their name and they said, "its Alison not ALL ison" I hate the double L thing. Alison Alyson is better. but I still really like Madeline. DEFINITELY go with that!
