The simple answer is "play enough" . where the question gets more complex is, what is enough>how do I find that hotel/casino that appreciates me at my level of play! Do you play the slots? Video Poker? table games,>which? what is your bankroll?

Slot and Video Poker players do have an advantage over table player in that it's easier for the casino to exactly track your play...Where you will see the best bang for your buck is by learning to play video poker, "advantage VP" . The VP games that pay back over 100% 10/7 DB>100.17% - FPDW 100.76%- JWKOB 101% .

One exception to the over 100% rule with most VP player is 9/6 JOB which pays back 99.54% but the variance with this game is much lower, so it's a good game to put in long hours of play with a much lower chance of losing much money..

Whatever you play, don't play without a players club card inserted, or if you play the tables, when you put your money on the table for change place your card down along with the money the dealer will give your card to the pit boss so he/she can rate your play..."Rated Play"=your average bet + length of play...When you play slots or VP you earn points, usually good for cash back(CB) and comps...A good book to read "Comp City" by Max Ruben...IMHO the vast majority of players are far better off playing the slots, more specifically video poker especially when it comes to earning free/casino rate rooms...Jean Scott(The Frugal Gambler) has written several books on how to take advatage of all that LV has to offer..Jean is known as the "Queen of Coupon".If you watch the travel channel shows on LV you have probably seen Jean..

If I knew what you were comfortable with putting at risk, I would be able to give you some ideas about where to play...If you're strictly a nickel slot player, then playing at a 5 star hotel isn't going to get you anything but a free drink while you are playing...There are a lot of 2-3 star places that you can do quite well at for 4-5 hours of quarter VP play...

My play averages 5-6K per day...Main Street Station sends me 2 free nights per month...The Las Vegas hilton, varies I might get 4 nights free, some times a 3 night weekend with extras...I had New Years Eve booked at the LV HIlton for $199>that was for a 3 night stay(F/S/S) and NYE party tickets etc!...

Stay and play even a small amount at Orleans>I get offers for 2 free nights several times per year

this is a great site to learn all about how to get more out of LV than it gets out of you.

this is the site for VP players

Over the past 20 years I average about 4 weeks a year in LV sometimes it's 6, a couple of years only 2...During that time I have stayed "free" at hotels ranging from Caesars Palace, The Venetian and MGM > to Palace Station, Riviera and Frontier>and everything in between...I take my play to the place that will reward me most for my level of play, you have to learn to adapt.. During the 90's I received the full RFB(room-food-beverage) treatment from Caesars>5 nights free + food/drinks...They removed the VP that I like to play, I stop going there = no more free rooms, about 3/4 years ago Caesars put the games back, I may go back?

You can also do this (slot club play) two ways, if you both play several thousand a day, then get/use separate cards/accounts if you both play only a small amout then you would probably be better off using the same account>you can have two people playing on one account(at the same time), just ask for 2-3 cards for each account, you're going to lose them, it saves you the time of going back and having them replaced...

Just so you understand, when I say "play" 5K or several thousand that does not mean you actually have to put that much at risk, it's the amount you play times the number of hands...quarter VP $1.25 per hand x 4000 hands =5K >depending on the VP game, with JOB I put $50 in to start=200 credits, I use a win goal - loss limit system - if(when) I'm winning my goal to to "double up" meaning>reach 400 credits, if(when) I reach 400 I will play with anything beyond the 400 say I'm at 475>If I start losing and fall back to 400>I stop playing(for that session)>If I continue to win say reach 600-800-1,000 then it works the same way, whenever I fall back to the next double up level, I stop, if I'm at 725 and fall back to 600 I quit...860 back to 800 I quit so on and so forth....On the other hand there is a good chance you may lose the $50, you quit, don't stick anothe $50 in you're done for that session...I plan on 4-5 sessions per day...This is the way I get my play in...This way you limit your losing sessions and maximize your winning ones, it does not change the "math" of the game. BUT, it will teach you the discipline necessary to "play to win"...

With the higher variance VP games like 10/7 DB - FPDW - JWKOB I start with $100/400 credits, but, the goal is the same....Most of the pro VP players use a similar system of win goals and loss limits...

There is no easy short answer to your question, I just wanted to peak your interest and give you the means to located the answers for yourself...

My parents got a free room in Vegas for going to a seminar. You are not required to buy anything but you still get a free room for the weekend at a nice hotel there. If you are really interested feel free to PM me. ;)

you either have to know somebody or you have to be a high roller and spend a lot of money gambling.

They have players cards so get one to make sure you are being rated for what you are gambling.

Or you can do as the previous person said...sleep with the hotel manager...or at least the person at the front desk. That might work too. ;-)

the major to getting comps as they're referred to as in Vegas is to bypass there, sign in on the motel for his or her rewards club, and spend your time and funds playing. doesn't take plenty; my significant different will gamble $2 hundred or a lot less an afternoon for some days and we get consistent promises for loose rooms. Plus frequently get loose stuff like shirts or perhaps loose nutrients. purely takes repeat visits, better playing. you received't get a loose room for no longer playing in any respect, yet doesn't damage the economic employer both. in case you get in a on-line casino team's equipment and gamble frequently, you receives all styles of loose promises.
