My best friend got caught skipping class today. The school said they were gonna call her house. What can she do so her mom or dad don't know? Can you block the school from calling your house phone? What did you do if this happened to you?

well u can always disconnect or block the phone- or just tell her to answer it every time and when they call tell them there not available right now and leave a message. or set it to silent and let the answering machine pick it up, then destroy the evidence.but she better of learned her lesson

When I skipped school and the school called home, I would go on the internet or I would just sit next to the phone and answer it before they do and tell them the school just left a message, like a stupid lie. Like during Halloween, I skipped the day after and they called and my mom was like who is it and I was like the school telling us to not bring candy to school or something like that. Hey I know that was a stupid lie but they actually believe. It depends of how a good liar your friend is. My friends are way better liars then me. lol. good luck to your friend.

No you can not block the school from calling your parents when you cut school. The reason is is because the PARENTS are responsible for the child and if anything happens to that child when they are SUPPOSED to be in school but choose NOT to be the parents are liable for whatever happens (Like if your friend got caught shoplifting) and the parents can be sued. The school calls to let the parents know that the school is not liable for anything that happened during the time your friend cut school. That is WHY it is against the law for parents to NOT have their kids enrolled in somekind of educational facility or home school. She's just going to have to suck up and deal with whatever she gets...

I remember skipping class, but I never got caught. I would just deal with the consequences of my actions. The school is going to find a way to tell her parents no matter what. You cant keep them from it.

For every action there is a reaction. Honestly, stop and think before you act. Not only has your friend skipped school (mistake #1) now she has to figure out some way to hide the fact. Now, she has 2 actions she has to try and cover up. Trust me...it's like lying...the more you try to cover it up the bigger it grows. Best bet is to confess to the parents. Admit she made a stupid choice and accept the consequences.

You have asked like 5 questions about if it is a good idea to skip class, I think that it is YOU, not your freind, who has gotten caught in the act and are asking how YOU can keep them from calling.

The truth is, there is no sure way to get out of this.

she shouldnt try to avoid the school calling cause they will find a way to get in touch with her parents! trust me on this one, i did the same thing about 2 years ago. the best thing for her to do is to tell her parents before the school does. that way they wont be as mad at her if she can explain why she wasnt at school. tell them the basics, they dont need to know every single detail but they know when you are lying!

The best thing to do would be to actually attend class and try and learn something. Save that your friend should accept responsibility for her actions. Set goals and look for positives in life.

Your 'friend' right. She cant stop the school from calling, even if she disconnects the phones they will just call back. Tell her to stop being a loser and trying to be cool.

Hope that helps your 'friend'
