It crumbles at exactly the wrong moment. and then makes a helluva mess and always infront of strangers.

It is the unavoidable nature of cookies that they break up into a mess and there is no way you can control the size or shape of that mess because "that is how the cookie crumbles."

1. An expression meaning approximately "bad things happen, get over it".
2. Into a lot of smaller pieces that you can still eat as long as they didn't fall on the floor.
3. They don't "crumble", but you can go into your internet settings and delete them.
