I use intelius, white pages, google, myspace, &c to search for friends, classmates, relatives, and anyone I've ever known, just to see what's they've done with their lives. I feel happy when someone is successful and laugh when someone who dissed me is still a loser of some sort. Is this normal or pathological?

Well......to a point it's ok, I suppose, but to use intellius?? That's a little more serious since you're putting out bucks to snoop someone out. What is your point, exactly, just to find out how someones' doing (ask a friend or family member!), or are you looking to do damage to them for some reason? Take stock of your motives. I doubt seriously that I would like knowing someone was scoping me out like that.

I wouldn't categorize it as stalking. Just curiosity. I myself do it because sometimes I'd flip open a yearbook and ask myself, "I wonder what ever happened to him/her?"
It's no different than seeing someone you haven't seen in a long time whose kept in touch with a lot of people from high school, and them telling you that information.
