I don't borrow money. Makes relationships too complicated... it creates an imbalance.
My personal views on lending: if you do, give freely, expect no repayment... consider it a gift. If I cannot afford that attitude, I cannot afford to lend. And people always pay me back.

But if I were to cast my ideas to the winds and borrow from you? You'd get it back, along with my thanks, a cup of coffee, and whatever your favourite dessert happens to be.

Yes, I always pay people back! My dad always told me not to loan money expecting it back. That you should give it and if you get it back great, if not then go on with life.

I'm embarassed to say that you might not...I'm awful at paying people back, which is why I typically don't ask in the first place.
