Absolutely. Then you are hooked with a wire, you can get speeds up to 300mps. When you are wireless, the best is 54 mps. If you are any distance from the router, or have any other computers on the wireless network, your speed will be slower. Normal is around 20-30 mps (about 1/10th the speed of a cable).
Wireless is nice, but should only be used when you can not get on with a wire.

hi.
first, i want to know if aside from your email, is your browsing speed also slow? if the answer to this is yes, then the problem is with your wireless signal (since you just set up your wireless connection). Try eliminating electronic equipments that can interfere with your wireless signal (chordless phone base, baby monitors, plasma tv, fax machine, etc.) give it a distance of at least 2 meters away from these equipments. If connection is still slow, you may need to contact your ISP so they can check the interface of your wireless router if it's transmitting good packets. Ã
