Nope I don't think so, its "different" but who cares, If you've got the opportunity to spend more time with your kids count that as 1 for the men! I have a similar situation My Wife makes Great money, more than I did doing the 9-5 thing, So instead of just chilling doing nothing I decided to open my own shop here at my house a full on production shop! and I get to be with my youngest during these crucial years! So use this time to teach you kids right and make something out of it for yourself too! nothing but a win, win situation! good luck P.S screw what others think!

There is nothing wrong with being a Mr. mom.... Try getting a part time job and help out that way as well if you can... You should not feel less then a man for this.... You seem like a good guy and a wonderful husband:)

You would be amazed at just how many Mr moms are out here. Most are out of circumstances and the majority love it and wouldnt trade it for anything in the world. They definitely dont feel less of a man, but actually cherish the idea of being totally involved in their kids lifes. I did it for some time in my marriage raising two daughters and I loved it,and I come from a professional football background. Enjoy it as your kids will grow up fast and leave home before you know it, but you know you did your best and they will appreciate you for it Good luck

Get your dignity back by getting a job. Even if she is making a million dollars, you still need to get a job. Cuz if you dont, then you will be the wife and maid in the house. As time goes on, she might start to loose her respect for you and start to treat you like the maid. She may not have a problem with you not working, but as time goes on, ppl around her will let her know that there is something wrong with the whole picture. Eventually, she might end up falling for someone that is more on the same level with her. Someone with brains and money. Every woman want to be treated like a princess, spoilt from time to time whether they have money or not. So stop feeling sorry for yourself and make use of the brains you have. Who says you are not smart? If you dont go out there and make use of your brains, you may never know how smart you are or what you have to offer. You may be smarter than she is, but guess what we will nvr know.

It's happening more and more and is not wrong or abnormal. Yeah, we guys want to be the hairy-chested job holding providers and it hurts when we don't. Maybe you can be the person who makes it possible for her to work at best efficiency. And hey, that might mean cooking and cleaning and raising the children. But that's a big and important job too. Or, look for alternative ways to make money. Be a writer, freelancer, private detective ... do something you really like to do and see how long it takes for the money to follow. (It will.) Don't get all hung up in your head about her making more money than you. She doesn't care, I promise.

If you feel there is something wrong with it then it may be for you.
However there is nothing at all wrong with being a Mr. Mom.

If you need to do other things begin looking at joining something. If you went and got a part time job it would all go to baby sitting.
Being a mom is one of the most challenging and rewarding things you could ever do.

Hold your head up....join the PTA.......join mom's group if there is one in your area. This gets you out but is still focused on your children.

You are a real man for doing what you are doing!....it takes a really secure man to do what you are doing now. have you ever watched daddy day care with eddie murphy? i think every now and then remind her that even though she brings home the bacon, that you are still the MAN!...Put the kids to bed early before the time she comes home from a long day at work, have a hot meal waiting for her, help her unwind, relax her and then show her you are the man by giving it to her good in bed atleast every other night if possible. When she is screaming your name and moaning in agony remember YOU ARE THE MAN!

You need to change your attitude and be proud that you will be the one responsible for caregiving your children, teaching them primarily and raising them. With good cooking skills, cleaning routines, etc. you will see that your days will be extremely busy along with the kids' stuff. You won't have time to worry about what others think. Think, though, of the time you have to plan things in the bedroom.....
