Ok, I know you all must of heard this at least a million times, but I really have no idea what to get my bf for Christmas. Alright, here's a little bit about him: He's 38, a commercial pilot, Russian, really hot :), and we've been together for about 9 months. I really don't know what to get him. He has a very nice and fairly new watch, already has a MP3 player, all the music he likes is in Russian and it's not that easy to find Russian CD's here, he already has a leather jacket and getting him clothes just seems...weird. Has a great pair of sunglasses already, I would get him a bag of some sort because he's always traveling, but that's what I got him for his b-day. Also, dinner and a night out would be great, but he won't be here Christmas day (or eve), "then why not do it before he leaves or when he gets back?" you might say and I'm already planning on something like that but I want something I can wrap up and give to him. Help!

try this book. it's a picture book, but it's so poignant and it speaks volumes about friendship =)
http://www.amazon.com/Gift-Nothing-Patrick-McDonnell/dp/031611488X/sr=8-1/qid=1164693550/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-2544702-3540913?ie=UTF8&s=books
(if you don't buy things online, they have it at most bookstores too)
it celebrates how sometimes doing nothing with someone is everything in the world. sometimes, the best moments are those that involve nothing but friends! it's about how friendship is celebrated by doing things together, not by materialistic things. it's a really cute gift that's gotten huge smiles and warm hugs from everyone i've given it to =) even though it's a picture book, it's great for all ages becuase of it's message. it's fun to notice the irony, that a book whose message is that friendship, not things, is the greatest gift turns out to be a great gift itself.
here's a little preview, but you can't see all the pages in the book.
