As a couple? Well coming from a shounen-ai addicted girl...I would say NejixSasuke but thats a crack pairing.
If its canon of course NejixTenten. My reason is becuase, if I would compare them to NejixHinata, its not as political and effin' compliacted. Neji and Tenten appear together alot in the anime. They no duh, train together and respect each other as comrades and friends. The person that Neji talks to as a female alot, Im guess would have to be Tenten becuase Im guessing hes comfortable talking to her. They're both equeally annoyed with Gai's and Lee childish rant about youth but thats not much to say on why they should be together.(I love Rock Lee though...)
Tenten helped Neji perfect the kaiten and Neji never commented on Tentens fighting and such. He was the one who trained with her soo...yeah.
And thats really it...

If you're saying as a couple from my fangirl side my yaoi coupling would of course be NaruxSasu, but for boygirl, I would pick either Hinata and Sasuke or hinata and Kiba mostly because they aren't that popular and the SasuHina coupling is so much of an opposite...and kiba and hinata look really good together and considering kiba is so protective of her...they would make a good couple...

tenten and rocklee, temari and shikmaru , ino and neji, hinata and kiba, kekashi with sakura when shes older, tsundade with jiraya naruto with either hinata or sakura geez this show needs more girls its hard to pair up
