You could try downloading firefox which is pretty effective. I had loads of problems when i was initially setting up my bt yahoo software, finally resolved everything by getting Norton Systemworks 2005 which finally got everything running smoothly.
You can download adaware se for free which is great. Also You can get a trial of Webroot Window Washer which will sort a lot of problems out.
One option may be to download firefox (mozzila) then uninstall then reinstall Internet Explorer which may sort it.
Good Luck!

the reply is >>>>>>>>NO.....dont do a equipment fix at this element it would want to added harm your pc..your pc has a Trojan/pretend test in it and your AV product must have stuck it..if no longer run an total test....once that is complete...do a glance for for spy ware look after in all record and folders which include hidden ones also..there'll be 2 or 3 folders and information which will seem once the hunt commences..you are able to delete them and the icon also no matter if it really is on your own computer...once you delete (and it truly is serious) do no longer hesitate...empty the trash bin and turn off pc for 3 minutes and restart...think ofyou've got to do this 3 or 4 cases..despite the indisputable fact that it is going to eventualy bypass away......

You have a browser hijacker on your PC. Use these scans to remove it.
Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

Yes, download and install Spybot Search and Destroy. It's free and it's the best. Once it's installed, download all the updates for it, then run a complete scan. Delete all the files it says to.
