Because the GRE is computer-adaptive, skipping questions is NOT AN OPTION. If you decide you cannot answer the question, or if you've already spent too much time on it, go ahead and guess. There are plenty or special-case tricks that'll help you eliminate 1-3 answers to make your guessing more accurate. Check out a free Test Secrets workshop at your local Kaplan center to pick up a few tricks. Make sure to also learn about the upcoming GRE Test change - we offer free seminars for that, too! Above all, make sure that when you practice for the GRE, you use computer-based practice to learn CB test management skills - like when is the right time to skip - for your test.

good luck!

If you give the wrong answer, the teacher usually thinks"well, at least he tried". Doing nothing the teacher may think you are lazy or you skipped over which both are bad for grading.

skipping a question is worse. if you dont know the answer, at least try and maybe you get it right. and if you have it wrong at least the teacher think you tried
