My last period started on November 7th, and I must make note my cycles are very regular (28days). I am on the pill and have been for a year. I am religious about taking it the same time everday. I took an antibiotic on November 13, 14, 15. I then had intercourse on the 17th with no backup form (which would be about 3-4 days before the normal time of ovulation) I now know that antibiotics reduce the effectiveness, but was told that I should be ok, but there still might be that chance. My mistake I know. Anyways, I started to feel cramping/backache on the 20th already, and nausea/fatigue soon after, and then breast soreness (tendor, sensitive nipples, etc) starting on the 23rd. Today is the 27th, and I am still feeling the breast soreness, and nausea, and am 8 days away from my normal period which would start on 12/4. Are these signs of pregnancy already this soon? Is it hormones/stress related?

It is too early for pregnancy symptoms to show if you are still 8-10 days away. You probably just ovulated in the past 4-7 days. Sore breasts can indicate pregnancy but it can also indicate that you are about to start your period. Nausea usually does not begin until you are about a month pregnant. So the nausea is probably a side effect of the antibiotic. Antibiotics do affect birth control pill. I would just stop thinking about it for a few days and let your stress levels drop, because stress can also delay your period. If by next week you don't start go and get a pregnancy test. Alot of your symptoms can be a sign of pregnancy, but I doubt it, it is too soon. If you are pregnant, the egg would still be a cell dividing and has not even implanted itself and your hcg levels would not be high enough yet to cause all these symptoms.

I think it's impossible to tell until you actually take a test or miss a period.

I had a pregnancy scare while on bc and the first thing the doctor said was "were you on antibiotics?" because apparently they do diminish the effectiveness.

There are pregnancy tests out there (like early response) that will be able to tell you up to five days before your period is due.

There could be a chance your pregnant. Try EPT in three days. It says it can tell up to five days before your missed period. You could still have a false negative but most likely if you have these symptoms already and are pregnant it should show up. Good Luck!

there could be a slight chance of your being pregnant. not sure if nausea can kick in early but i know from experience that tiredness and breast tenderness can start pretty early. mine kicked in maybe less than 2 weeks after conception. now it could all be stress and head games since you are worried about the possibility but whichever outcome you want good luck with it.

I think it's stress related. But wait to take a test until you MISS your period, that way you don't stress yourself out way too much.
