I am a talented rider and have been riding for 11 years. Also training for the olympics. I would love to see any of you hop on a horse and jump higher than 4 feet or communicate with a horse through small movements through hands/legs and feet. Not only is it the horse and its power but its also the rider. The amount of trust, dedication, and work we put into these animals is ridiculous. These horses are treated like athletes and get the same care athletes do. If something happens to them, they get full recovery time with the right medications and nothing is taken lightly. They get fed the best food they can get and have some of the most proper stables and training time. Before you go trash talk about equestrians try to look behind the scenes. These horses are family and nothing less. They are a partner and love their job. I wasn't brought up in a rich family, I worked HARD for what I am now. I went farm to farm working and training horses for people just so I could have money. Horses and dogs are NOT the same. You don't ride the dog and the horse isn't doing "all the work" the work is set equally between the horse and rider and the bond is so close. The rhythm and timing is an essential part too. Like I said, I would like to see each and everyone of you get onto a horse and ride at the level Olympians do.
