No. I am from South Carolina and I do cheer for them. I say no because South Carolina has decades worth of bad football that they have to shake off before they can recruit the big guns. For now Georgia, FSU, Florida, NC State, and the other southeastern perennial powerhouses will take the recruits until South Carolina shows that they are here for real and to stay. Spurrier will get the ball rolling, but it will take him and the next two or three coaches (provided they aren't Brad Scott) to get South Carolina in the title hunt.

i'd say sure, and right that's why. the game of faculty football is so dynamic that something can take position any 12 months. If South Carolina alternatives up a reliable recruit like Arkansas had in McFadden and Jones, there is not any telling what can take position. the position is Arkansas even as Jones and McFadden are lengthy gone? no longer inevitably no the position, yet on a similar element of South Carolina... competing with the huge SEC faculties for recruits. seem at Arkansas 2 years in the past, competing hostile to Florida contained in the SEC Championship. Now, i'm no longer declaring Arkansas would have made the NC sport in the adventure that they might have gained the SEC championship. Florida were given in by the exterior of their tooth. although, the point i'm attempting to make is that, even as football is a crew sport, one gifted recruit can actually influence a crew's performance in a given 12 months. i'm sensible no human being predicted communities like Kansas or Missouri to do even besides because the huge-time, huge 12 faculties like Texas and Oklahoma. properly... perchance human beings from Kansas and Missouri... yet i imagine you get my element.

Light schedule??? They are in the SEC! Give Spurrier some years, dump some of the Mid-Tenn, FAU, etc. colleges from the schedule and in time....who knows,
just keep the faith in Ol' Darth Visor!
