This is because acids dissociate in water, for example:
HCl becomes (H+) + (Cl-),
H2SO4 becomes 2(H+) + (SO4--),
forming (+) ions, like (H+), and (-) ions, like (Cl-) or (SO4--),
which also are called as kations and anions.

These are charged particles which move in water as independent particles, and also they move in electric field forced by the electric field, and thus carrying the charge. Electric current is movement of electrically charged particles.

The same effect will be with salts which can dissociate in water
