Please describe the type of book and what is so great about it.

Don't give away the ending if it is a really great plot - just describe the feel of it, please.

"We Need to Talk About Kevin" by Lionel Shriver.

It's about a mother who's son commits a "Columbine" like mass murder in his school.

You won't be able to put this book down.

I just finished One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. I read it because all the women who come into the bookstore in which I work rave and rave over it. "A laugh on every page!" "So creative, interesting!" I thought it was appalling in content and style.

I am now reading Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire. I like it so far...his writing style is DEFINITELY improving. It's about the son/nephew/stowaway (no one knows) of the Wicked Witch of the West. I can't really say much more, as I am only on chapter 8. Read Wicked first, if you're interested.

The most recent book I've read is "Justin Thyme". It's a sort of time-ravel whodunit adventure. All the 'evidence' is illustated, and it's got all manner of cryptic clues and secret messages hidden in the text ... so you really DO feel like you're a detective solving a mystery!

You can visit the book's official web site if you want more information: http://justinthyme.info/

SIGN OF THE CROSS by Chris Kuzneski. Beats the hell out of the Da Vinci Code. Sort of like a mystery/thriller of that genre with Special Forces.

the once upon a time series, they are for teens. they put a new passion in old fairy tales example: little red riding hood, instead of the lifeless big bad wolf, her true love is cursed to roam the woods as a beast when the moon is full. ive read a few in the series and really enjoyed them.
