Go to the teacher at the beginning of the class and tell him you have a problem you would like to discuss with him if he could stay after class a few minutes.

When most of the class has exited the room, go up, smile and say, "I have a problem." The teacher will likely ask you to explain and there you are.

Is it like a math problem or a personal problem!?!?! If it's a personal problem I'm sure he'll give you all the time he has to listen to you. If it's a Math problem (or like that), ask him quickly, I'm sure he's at school for a few hours after school and he'd be happy to help. that's what he's there for.

Teachers will be glad (usually) to stay. It is fun to have students who want to do better. Hopefully it is a school problem--even if it isn't they will listen.
