the pilots were about equal and the airframes and performance were close enough the big difference was wepons and SIGHTS -the mig had bigger cannon but the Sabre had a very advanced RADAR sight that helped give us the 10 to 1 kill ratio we love to talk about

MIG-15 was a better performing aircraft

F-86 was better built, only marginally less a performer than the MIG-15 but had superior (more experienced) pilots.
