Both were extremely talented. I have to admit that I liked Randys riffs a little better that Eddies. It's too bad we didn't get to hear Randy for another 20 years.

btw, if guitar playing was some athletic event, David Gilmore wouldn't be able to carry either ones jocks.....

Randy was not as well known at the time.. but I'd go with Randy, he has better variety and more creativity. A better technique too. Don't get me wrong, I love Eddie, I think that Randy is just a little better.

But they are pretty equal otherwise.. it's a tough call man.

IMHO...Eddie is better than Randy but that is subjective.
also IMHO...David Gilmore is better than either one!

There was no consenus on this- they are/were both considered real talented. Rhodes was not well known.
