Having played all of them, I think 360 is the best. Wii is completley different, but its a freakin blast to play. PS3 looks cool, but it has mostly games you can get on 360, save a few. I dont really like handheld games, but if you want to play games, the DS is the way to go. The PSP is more of a portable media center, except nobody really puts music on it because its massive, plus youve gotta buy memory cards witch is a pain in the ***. The DS is more about games, and the PSP has maybe 5 good games (2 of them start with "Grand" and end with "Auto") As for the Gamecube, I dont want to start.

Depends on what your looking for. There are two different types of gaming devices you have listed.
1) Handheld - DS, PSP
2) Consoles - PS2, Gamecube, Wii, and the PS3
Consoles First:
The PS3 and the Wii are the newest consoles on the market.
Nintendo Wii - Wii does not go for graphical power in their video games. Instead Nintendo wants to get the player more involved by intruducing the player to the Wii-mote, which lets you control the game with your hand movements. Wii-mote is a motion sensing controller, which lets you control certain actions like sword swinging in Zelda, or aiming/shooting in games like Call of Duty 3, or Red Steal. Its $250, but getting one is very difficult to find.
PS3 - This is Sony's third console. The PS3 is meant for high graphical power games (HDTV Needed for full experience). It comes with the next generation DVD player (Blue-Ray). The launch games for this console has been very dissappointing, but hope to pick up within the next year with games like Moterstorm, DMC4, and MGS4. Sony also goes away from the rumble (law suite) and brings in the SixAxis Controller. It like the Wii-mote, but less motion, and not many game developers are not really taking advantage of the feature. If you can find one its $599 for the 60 gig, and $499 for the 20 gig versions.
If you can't wait for one of these consoles then look for the PS2 or Gamecube.
PS2/Gamecube - Both PS2 and Gamecube have been out for more or less than 5 years now. PS2 has a deep library of games and you can easily get a bundle pack with 5 games for $120 - $130 depending on the stores. PS2 still has some life into it with games still being produced for it. Same for Gamecube. But if your a mature player then go with the PS2, otherwise go with the gamecube since it really is targeted toward children.
Also, look for the Xbox360. Its a great Next-Gen. Console and has tons of games for it. But for me you have to have Xbox live ($50 a year fee) to get the full experience of the game.
Handheld:
PSP/DS - PSP does not have many great titles for it. It does have decent titles like Daxter, and the new MGS: Portable Ops. Once again Sony outdoes DS with graphics. You can watch movies, listen to music, and browse the internet. Sony also has bigs plans by having the PSP connect to the PS3 anywhere in the world with hotspots. But it will cost you around $200 for the system.
DS - Nintendo is the king of the handheld. Its a great system for on the go anywhere. Graphics are good enough, but don't compare to the Sony PSP. What the DS has is games and plenty of them. With DS you can toss it in your backpack and don't have to worry about it being damaged, unlike the PSP in which you have to buy a seperate hard cover piece to keep it safe.
Right now the Xbox360 is the best Next-Gen console on the market. The PS2 is great for this generation of games, and the DS is the best handheld.

(Check the Link) All of that Tech means Better Quality, More Memory, Wireless Controllers.......its obvious PS3 is definately the way to go. Xbox 360 would have to be the next runner up though.. and in terms of portable gaming PSP...yes sony is defianely starting to take control.

Definitely the Wii!!!
We've had it since the midnight sale at Gamestop and i really don't think its been turned off since. :) It is at any age enjoyable, My father who is 50 couldn't get enough of it over Thanksgiving, and my little niece who is 5 picked it up very easily even beating my score in bowling!!! :) Its very interacting and it has a lot of potential for amazing games still to come.
