You can take Metamucil with Fiber. It's the orange tasting drink it's actually not to bad of tasting it taste like orange koolaid just a little thicker. I was constipated throughout my whole pregnancy and taking it according to the directions helped a lot. I wouldn't take laxatives though my doctor told me those could harm the baby.

I constantly had constipation during all 3 of my pregnancies. The doctors will say eat more fiber and there are certain stool softeners that your doctor will say is okay to take while you're pregnant. I don't think any are harmful but I'd check with your doc just to be sure.

First of all, are you taking pre-natal vitamins, because they can make you very constipated.
Try drinking some prune or apple juice. Maybe eating some fresh apples or dried prunes would help as well.
GL I know that is a very uncomfortable situation as I was in it 3 times each pregnancy
If nothing works call your doctor maybe he can give you some much better advice

This is very common and it will pass (no pun intended) Exercise helps, drink lots of water and use fibro gel or some other natural remedy. It does get better, but just wait for the uncontrollable passing of wind! Oh the joys. Good luck

Yes, I did. What was suggested for me was to drink a lot of fruit juice and water. Avoid cheeses and foods that make you constipated.

I had that happen to me, try to eat more fiber. Something like pears are very good and drink more water. Water is very important while pregnant, if you don't drink a lot you will run into problems.

Completely normal. Make sure you are eating a TON of fiber, fruits and veggies. If that doesn't help, tell your doctor and they'll prescribe a stool softener.
Ah, the joys of being pregnant!!

i used to drink a lot of apple juice in the beginning, but after a while, that didnt even work..i asked my doctor what i could do, he said i could take a laxative that it wouldnt hurt the baby..but it doesnt stop there..you will have it again later, but you can still take them, only once in a while, not all the time, it wont hurt the baby, but to make sure, ask your doctor..my daughter is 13 now, so things may have changed since then..

Good grief yes. I ended up having to take a stool softener. Ask your doctor first to make sure that you are taking the right one.
