Hey there, I don't know much about ya (age etc.) so it is hard for me to recommend songs for ya, but 'Amarillo' is always a good one to get everyone up and singing along! Also anything by Robbie is always a safe bet....
Fair play to ya for having the guts to do it, I don't!!! :-)

Robbie Williams Angels is always a great sinalong one, also Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen), Amarillo (Tony Bennett/Peter Kay) or Don't stop me now (Queen). Then there are loads of Beatles ones like She Loves You, and Twist and Shout which will get people singing along.
Good on you mate for getting up - enjoy it, it's fun. I always have an attempt when I can and it finishes off the night out in a fun way.
Sing loud, sing proud

If you want the crowd to "join in" then go with New York, New York by Frank Sinatra; Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks; or the all time great drinking song Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffett...All are crowd pleasers.

I Put A Spell On You - Nina Simone.
You'll know I'm being ironic when you can spell 'karaoke' correctly.
