what you're going to want is probably an automatic electric (AEG) the best brands for this are Tokyo Marui, Classic Army and ICS.
i personally prefer UTG which makes guns identicle to Tokyo Marui for about 1/3 the price.

electric guns are largly considered the best airsoft weapons because of the high rate of fire and the fact that if you get a decent gun you can easily upgrade it to be very powerful (some TM/UTG guns can be upgraded past 700 FPS)

i wouldn't suggest buying a spring gun for an actually war because you'll be instantly out gunned by the automatics just by shear volume of firepower they have, same thing for gas because the only real gas guns that are worth looking at anymore are pistols, grenade launchers and snipers and all of these have a low manual rate of fire.

Practicality wise i'd say take an Electric rifle as your main gun (mine is a UTG warhawk ak-47, Excelent gun) and a gas or spring pistol as your side arm depending on how much money you want to spend.

I'm sorry to say that unless you catch an airsoft website during a sale you're probably not going to get a good gun for $100 or less. But if you were willing to pay an extra $20-$30. You could get a JG Navy SEAL MP5 that shoots about 365fps. But otherwise I think the only thing you could get for $100 is a Galaxy MP5 PDW. Which is not a bad weapon I have one and it was my first gun. I'm not 100% how fast it shoots but I know it's just as mean as anything twice its size.

Depends on what your going for. I ALWAYS have a gas sidearm whenever I play. I wouldnt reccomend spring rifles if your just going to charge in like a soldier. If you plan on staying the back and sniping then I'd recommend getting a spring sniper rifle. I currently have 2. The Super 9 and SEAL Sniper. Both are bolt action however I would choose the SEAL one because it is more powerful and accurate. If you are going to run into battle then Id recommend an AEG with a grenade launcher attachment. So it really depends on how you play. Spring if you stay back, AEG w/ Grenade Launcher Attachment if you charge in. ALWAYS have a gas sidearm, they've saved me more than once and are deffinitly worth it
