Well, there is a major difference between motorcycle oil and car oil. Make sure you use motorcycle oil.
Your warranty is expired, so you can't void what you don't have.

Most oil is the same and you're paying for brand names with the more expensive oil. If you look on the container, there will be a code that gives the quality of the oil you're buying.
They use letters and the closer to Z the letter is, the better quality the oil is.
I think the best you can buy is still "J". In fact, I doubt you will find anything with less quality.

Look for a code that says "SJ" and you're fine. They can sell you the correct oil at the Suzuki dealership. The "S" stands for "spark ignition". You will also run across "CJ" for cars but not bikes. That stands for "compression ignition" The CJ is for diesel engines and the SJ is for gasoline engines.

In a new car such as this, I would start using Castrol Syntec. Synthetic oil is excellent for the engine. I have used Syntec ever since I have gotten my pickup truck and I have never had an issue with my engine at all. Synthetic oil lasts longer and you can change your oil every six months instead of every three months.

Check online as to what Suzuki recommends. Otherwise, you might void any warranty you might have.
