Just asking because recently i found out that my husband actually lied to me about the amount of money he spent at a fast food restaurant. I think he might be hanging around with an old friend (male) and i don't approve of it because in the past he had been a bad influence.

I know.....I hate any lie......even if its about fast food...that really isn't the point.....its still a lie...one lie leads to another...I always thought if they could lie about one thing they can lie about anything.....
So you have every reason to be mad at you husband....I think some husbands really don't understand how much it means to their wife's to be honest about everything!!!.....they just don't get it...
I feel for your pain......

Your husband probably knows you'll get upset with him so rather than have a fighting match and everyone getting up set he rather lie to you and save the heartache.
Its sad that he has to hide from you in this regard. but past problems have told him this is a safer bet . but in reality its not cause if you catch him you will think he lies about everythign else too and then its a snowball effect.

hahahahahmmmmmmm ..... not funny, actually, cuz i have been there.
my hubby has a couple friends that i don't exactly like either.... for good reason.
anyway, fast food???? not so much a big deal. have you caught him in any lies bigger than fast food?
if he is hanging out with this friend and getting in trouble, then you will find out sooner or later, but i think you are over-reacting with a fast food lie.
I AM ON YOUR SIDE, just choose your battles.

Men dont lie ,we may stretch the truth a little are not say anything at all , But woman lie just as bad

Do you really have to ask why men lie? I have found that being with a woman who doesn't try to control my every move.... I don't have to lie to her to KEEP THE PIECE! (and yes I spelled that right)

An old friend is a bad influence??? Isn't your husband an adult - or did you marry a child! He's responsible for his actions...not his friend. Stop blaming the friend - and start placing the blame where it is due!

he lied to get out of a problem, and if he was with the old friend he know's how u feel about the man, so he is going to lie to get himself out of trouble.but if he lies about the little things, what else is he going to lie about?
