My best friend used to dress really pretty/preppy. My sisters friend hing around her (or: the saw eachother a lot, because my sister and I would invite our friends over---therefor: they saw eachother a lot). Anyway, my sister's friend is sort of Gothic, and likes Gothic stuff. Now, my once "preppy" friend thinks Skulls are cute, black is awesome, and safety-pins are better than real jewelry. I REALLY miss my old best-friend, and I want her back. We used to agree on a lot of things, but now I don't agree with her almost at all. She's my best friend, and she always will be; but I don't like the new her AT ALL. What can I do to get her back?????

And I'm not egotistical. I'm just kinda lonely. I feel like I have no one to turn to...because my old friend isn't there anymore. This new stranger has entered my life, and it scares me.
----And yes, I know she has her own life. I'm not retarded. But, what was wrong with her old life??? The life she had that I liked???

Any good ways other than talk to her? She's EXTREMELY opionionated, and she'll probably rip my head off if I try to talk to her...And, I'm not good at 'talking' to people....even my BFFs

First of all, stop the safety-pin thing. It's unsanitary, and just plain gross. Then try to ask her why she's changed. But, people change. It's a fact of life.

You need to see through the superficial (surface) of this new persona your friend is trying out. I'm guessing you're probably a young teen (or a pre-teen) so you and your friends are going to spend some time seaching for who you"really" are. Cut her some slack. This is most likely a phase, and in no time at all, she'll be trying on something completely different!

Easy. Let the fad FADE from her. Some people are easily influenced by things. And maybe she's the different girl on her block. I'd say just be her friend.(Bite your lip on some of her B.S.)If she gets hurt in the process, atleast she'll know YOU were there.

You could probably show her all the stuff she used to like and then go back to her old self, otherwise you cant really force her to change unless she wants too, but I think you should just bring her back to the past and show her the things she used to like.

i know everyone will tell you this but you really need to tell her how you feel because that is the only thing that will make you realize that she is hurting you i had the same problem with one of my friends with her boyfriend and I lost her as a friend but i know that now if i wouldve said something i couldve helped her realize what she was doing but now its too late so don't make the same mistake if not for her then for you :)

I'm sorry for you. There's not much you can do if she's decided to change. But if you're feeling lonely like you have no one to turn to, consider this: God will never change and will always be there for you! <3
