They work, but often the spirits won't cooperate, and they will just spell out rubbish. Also, you need to be able to protect yourself psychicly before attempting to use one. They are great, but they can be dangerous.

I think they work if used properly, but I also believe it is easy to anger spirits with stupid questions. I own one but can't use it. The energy I get when I tried using it in the past was too strong, plus it makes me feel very sick when I touch it. A friend asked a few questions about an unsolved crime where a little boy went missing not far from her house many years back. She was given 3 pieces of information regarding the boy, that he was killed, where he was left and what his name was. She told her sister who was a police officer, she's retired now, the sister just blew it off since she didn't believe in Ouija boards. A couple years later the boy was found, by information not related to the board. He was where it said he would be, there were clear sings of foul play and the name matched.
A few too many "coincidences" for me.
I honestly don't understand why they are still being sold in the toy section of most stores.

Ouija boards do not "contact the spirit world". They are not "evil". They do not "open a doorway". They do not "summon demons". That's all part of the Ouija board's mythos.
Ouija boards rely on the imperceptible muscular movements of those touching the planchet -- The thing that indicates letters.
Penn and Teller on their Showtime Show, "Bullsh*t" (with the letter I) fully and soundly debunked Ouija boards.
They had a group of people use a Ouija board normally. The planchet indicated words, apparently answered questions, etc. Nobody claimed to be moving the planchet. All very typical.
They then blindfolded the group and, without telling the group, rotated the Ouija board 180 degrees. The board didn't function as it did when the group was not blindfolded. For example, when a Yes/No question was asked, the planchet indicated the spots that "Yes" or "No" had been before the board was rotated. Neither did any words get accurately spelled out by the planchet.
Obviously, either spirits are completely blind or the Ouija board opperates based on the imperceptible muscular actions of the participants.

Does a piano work or is it all fake?
It depends on in whose hands.
In an idiot's hands neither will work.
For any communications with the spiritual world to take place successfully, you must know what you are doing and deserve the answer.
Because most people are ignorant and bent on abusing such privileges, they simply do not get them. It is as simple as that.
Same applies to clairvoyancy. Only people who know how to use it, get the gift. The rest are imposters who take care of the gullible, who in turn deserve what they get.
Now you got a full answer you probably will not like, but at least someone told you the truth.

From what I've learned through my own research, the Wickipedia write up on Ouija is quite accurate. It was originally nothing more than a 19th century parlor game which got a reputation for being satanic because Alistair Crowley used it in his Pagan rituals. I had one as a kid, I never saw any signs of para-normal results, and, overall, I'd recommend Monopoly. It was a lot more fun.

Everyone has a crazy story about one, I think there are possibilities that some stories could be real, but most have to be fake. Surely, if you believe in good and evil spirits, there could be truth to it. However, just as anything, you have to have faith that it is either real or fake.
So to sum it all up, nobody knows for certain, it takes faith to believe, and it takes faith to not believe.

I believe Ouija Boards are real. I use them on a semi-regular basis and I've never experienced anything "bad" or particularly "scary". Most of the people you contact on them are people who are lost, don't realize they're dead, and haven't gone to the light.
If you don't believe Ouija Boards work, then they probably won't. If you're genuniely open to the experience, then they probably will.

They are not to be used as toys, as they open you up to demon possession. I personally know someone that this happened to. She was possessed for a few years, until an exorcism was performed. They can be very dangerous. Very bad things can happen. Stay away from them.

I personally have never tried one, but I think they are evil and if you leave your mind open you don't know what you could be getting into . . let me tell you and this is true, my mom told me that my grandmother who died when my mom was eight was going to have a form of stomach stapling surgery and she didn't think they were real. She asked the question am I going to die from this surgery, and if she should have it, and it responded that she should not have the surgery. She went through with it and she died. I am not lying to you when I tell you those things are Satanic and you are dealing with evil things. I am telling you this because this is a true story and I have never messed with them nor would I ever!! Stay away from them, but in the end it is up to you.
