Hello from Liverpool, England.

I hope this is being read in the US as I am interested in knowing about Howard Stern.

I have heard that he attacks people of minorities just for the sake of it. One thing I have heard that he is supposed to have said is that disabled people are just pretending to be disabled and should get up of their backside and stop moaning. Is this true?

Is he the sort of person who says what he means or just says any old rubbish to get a reaction?

Are there any sites I can listen to his show on?

Thanks;.

Howard is what is called a shock jock here in the states. He currently can be heard only on satelite radio as he signed about a billion dollar contract with them. He tries to be the gross out king and loves strippers, plastic enhancements to the chest and any sleeze he can find. Thus a radio shock jock rather than a disc jockey.

NO. NOT TRUE. Howard Stern is a comedic personality. He is not hateful or discriminatory...he is sarcastic. People love to take what he says out of context and construe him as some kind of monster. I've been listening to Howard for years and he is a comedic genius, and in all honesty, a true, sweet and real man who tells it like it is.

Why are people so afraid of hearing the world taken from the perspective of raw honesty? I'll never get it.

He rarely says what he actually believes and whether what he does say is just for a reaction or its to question our own views is just a matter of personal interpretation. He is a smart man, but whether he's trying to change society or just make a fast buck is yet to be seen.

I think most of it's just for reaction, although he makes fun of mentally challenged people on his show a lot and I think that is sooo disrespectful. I don't like his show at all but like I said he just likes to get a reaction out of people and he succeeds very well.

have not heard Howard since he went to satellite radio but I found him to be a descent radio personality. He pokes fun at celeb and insane society. Parody, satire, and bringing in real crazy people with insane agendas to show the utter absurdity of the world at times.

I never heard him talk about disabled people, but he does talk about perverted sex stuff, that's his claim to fame. I don't really listen to him, just caught a little by flippin through channels.

Mainly he just likes to get reactions out of people. Go to HowardStern.com and you can see some of his clips.

He is what we call a "shock jock". Just trying to shock people... and it seems to be working, huh.

He will do anything for shock value. Except, he is not shocking any longer. It is expected that you will encounter the outragous and socially unacceptable when listening and watching his show.
