Does it not bother you that you get a s**t picture and awful sound? Is it not worth paying the price of a DVD, which is not even that much in most cases now, so you can have a decent viewing experience?

fruitbrad: I'm not thinking about it... I have a real problem with people that do it, and I don't understand why people do it when they get such a bad quality product. To me it seems pointless... you are not watching the actual film, simply a poor imitation of it.

I don't download films but I have downloaded tv shows that aren't out yet........ only because I can't wait to watch them. I don't have a single copied dvd in my house because of the reasons you stated - poor picture and poor sound. I love my dvd collection and don't want to settle for anything but the real thing!

never done it, no inclination to, quite agree it can't be good quality, although DVDs here are quite expensive, we are all getting ripped off compared with other countries but then we keep buying at high prices, making the fat cats richer.

If theres a long wait from its release in the USA to it being available in the UK, and i really want to see it............ well i might be intrigued if a "friend" has a downloaded copy that he's forcing me to watch.. providing quality can at least see and hear whats going on.

depends on the source you're getting them, i get good quality ones. Besides, getting an early copy works for me, then I just buy the ones I like
