i was playing football with some friends and i was qb we were down close to the goal line and i did hurry up called hut and then my receiver ran out and i threw it underhand pass then my friend on defense said it was illegal was it i dont think it was caz during one pittsburgh steeler game i forget if it was big ben or the oppenet who was getting sacked and underhand threw the ball to the half back and got a first down

An underhand pass is just a different way of throwing it. It is not illegal as long as you have'nt crosssed the line of scrimmage.

nope its a pitch even tho most pitches are to the backfield it is legal since you are the quarterback, if u were any1 else it would be a forward lateral and thats illegal, ur friend is an idiot tell him to learn to play right!

No. Passes are passes whether they be overhand or underhand.

if the ball moves forward through the air, it's legal no matter how it was thrown.
