yes, limewire, morpheus and bearshare all contain adware and malicious scripts. ( i have taken limewire apart ((the free version mind you, which you are talking about im sure) and dont trust others when they say that it doesnt. let me assure you that it DOES contain quite a few damaging scripts! )

more and more people are saying that they do not contain viruses and any virus that you gain is due to tainted content you downloaded with the program, this is not true.

Yes you CAN use these programs to get viruses, but the programs themselfs contain pop up advertisments, and in addition other harmful elements. the reason for this is so that the consumer would be more in clined to purchess the full version of this product.

The pay version of these programs, dont have viruses. (or at least limewire pro does not *confirmed*)

Every program like that contains some type of virus. Just watch what you download. If it has a high junk rate, then don't download it. If it has a high download rate then chances are you are getting some clean stuff.

Sure. One way the record companies are fighting back is to load the services with fake songs (some have high-pitched tones in the middle to blow your speakers) and virus files disguised as songs.

Yup, and most of the viruses are put there by music and software companies, to stop lowlife, thieving scum from stealing. I think it is a fabulous idea.
