I don't know which one to buy. Any thoughts? Also, do any of you know anything about the wireless adapter for the DS? Is it worth the purchase? (Saw it at Best Buy today)

Please no comments on how I should buy a Wii or a PS3 or an Xbox360....I have no desire to buy any of those right now.

The DS is still fairly new and fresh which means it will still have a fair bit of gaming life to it. The Gamecube has some decent games but with the Wii on the market its lifespan has become nearly obsolete so there will be very few games coming out for it in the future. The real question is whether you want a system which is handheld (DS) with new games on the way, or a console (cube) with a set inventory for the most part. I suggest you check out all the games availiable for the Cube and see if there are at least 5 you would love to have. Do the same with the DS but remember there are more coming in the future so you will have more options later on.

The Gamecube certainly has some good games going for it, but the DS is about the same in that respect... and the difference now is, the Gamecube is being replaced by the Wii and game developers will now focus on the new system... whereas the DS still has some great games coming in the future.

The DS is also region-free and backwards compatible, which means there are many more games to choose from.

Well, this is all a matter of opinion, of course. Both are excellent consoles.

on the 2d there are some TheSim video games for the gamecube and the DS yet not the wii, besides the undeniable fact that nintendo has been working for awhile now on a clean Sims for the wii and DS called MySims that's an analogous concept using fact the older sims however the characters are extra like chibi characters from manga and anime

Go with the DS brother I have been the lucky owner of one since last christmas and its a blast. The short range wireless connection is sweet especially if you have a long bus ride and lots of friends with them. And if your friends dont have the game, no problem. The DS allows your friends to download the game for the time you are playing.

I would go with the gamecube. There are many games to it and they are a lot of fun. I have a gamecube myself and I love it so much I play it everyday!!! Also if you ever do decide to get a wii you can use the gamecube games on that too.

Love ya ~Heather~
