Does the dryer have a gas line coming out of the back of it (flex hose about 1/2 to 1" round)? If not, it probably is electric....you can also verify its electric by looking at the plug, it will be three prongs in a circular pattern.

The size of the plug will tell you, large for electric small for gas, if that don't comfort you a gas dryer usually have an outlet in the back of it to hook the gas line to. If the dryer is hooked up just look for a gas line running to the back of it that is just as simple as looking at the cords.

Just look on the back of the dryer, if it has a pipe on the bottom it's gas, for and electric dryer it will have a large round plug with three large prongs two of them will be slanted . Hope this helps.

Look behind the dryer. If the plug that goes into the wall is the size of a walnut, it is gas. If it is the size of a lemon, it's electric.
