Windows xp PROFFESSIONAL help please?
I bought a laptop from some guy.its real good but i couldnt get onto windows because it is asking for a password to log on.Can anyone help me here on what to do.Is there any way to overide that?Please help me.

Try logging in as Administrator, most times people forget to password protect it and so you can get on it without a password. To get to login as Administrator, press ESC or CTRL-ALT-DEL at the graphical login and you get the old NT login screen, type in your username and password. If that fails, go into Safe Mode and try creating a new administrator account. If these two fail to get you in.... the process to get into Windows would be complex and it might be easier to reinstall.

I dont think you can get past a password or there wouldnt be much point in it. LOL. But if you reinstall windows it will get rid of all password and data. Or the simple answer is go and ask the man that you bought it off what the password is!!

There is software that you can buy that will reset the password by dropping the CD into the laptop prior to booting the system.

Log in as administrator. then crate a new user account and set it as administrator and delete the old administrator.
