he can't he has to catch them all over again oh and i don't think he can catch deoxis cuz he has to go to a pokemon convention and get a ticket for an ss but they stoped doing that since last year i think so there is no way cuz he can't transfer them from gold cuz emerald is a newer version, tell them that he can get jirachi do he has to wait for 100 days to pass and then go to the island to where the space station is and he'll go to space, tell him to save trough cuz he only has one chance to catch him. good luck

I don't think you can transfer any pokemon from the original Gold version to emerald version. You have to use firered/leafgreen/some gamecube games (I think) to get the gold/silver era pokemon onto an emerald cartridge.
And deoxys can only be caught either by using a gameshark/cheating device, or tracking down one of those nintendo pokemon events that take place at malls once in a blue moon. I imagine they may've stopped those by now, since the game's been out for a while. Those are the only ways, which really sucks.
And yes, pokemon was/is gay, since they clearly want you to spend a buncha money to catch 'em all, but I know I and many others got sucked into it when we were at that age.
Tell your bro he can a pokeymans master even without deoxys if he believes in the heart of the cards. and then tell him yes, you do know that's from yu-gi-oh.

so, you cant get deoxys in your Gold version and vice-versa. Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green, and Emerald are the only games you can get deoxys in. Deoxys is obtained by getting a gameshark or going to download the ticket to birth island. ITs at level 30.

Deoxys is available through crappy cheat devices. You can't trade Pokemon from Emerald to Gold and vice versa.
