Nice white shoes go great with a yellow dress. And yes silver is weird unless the dress has silver in it somewhere visible.

I wouldn't do silver or black. Black and yellow equal a bee, like mentioned above, and silver is at the opposite end of yellow (yellow is a warm, silver is a cool) so they would clash, especially if the hem is below your knee.
I would stick with the same range of tones that will match the dress. Pale gold, honey, sand, champagne, bronze, etc... a warm hue that will complement the color of the dress since you can't find yellow. If you want to go with a shade of white, try ivory or eggshell instead of true white, which may be too harsh with yellow.
You can also buy shoes that can be dyed to match the dress. You can find them just about anywhere, it doesn't have to be the Dyeables name brand, and just take the dress with you. The store can have the shoe of your choice dyed the exact color to match your dress.

It really depends on what color yellow we're talkin' about. If it is a lighter color yellow with a gold undertone, then wear a gold strappy sandal.
If you have a bumble-bee yellow dress, then you could go with a strappy black with rhinestones or something.
The key is a strappy sandal so the attention is not drawn to your shoes! Keep it simple.
Good Luck!

ok...try to get some white shoes...if the dress is a dark yellow...
if it is a lighter color yellow try some gold heels...
it also depends on the type of accesories you are going to put on with the dress.....for example if it is a short cute yellow dress you can accesories it with sum red earings and match those up with some red heels.....if that is too much for you...just stick with the basic like i told you white or gold....GOOD LUCK!

Try gold, but strappy, so the colour's not too bold. If you can't walk in really thin straps then maybe think about matching shoes. You can sometimes get white shoes dyed to match - try the yellow pages for listings.

Gold can look very nice if pulled off correctly however I guess you can dye and rhinestone a shoe.
If it has details like pearl, silver, gold, etc. beads or such just match to that.
Overall I think gold and silver are your best bet. Especially if they're jeweled with beads or rhinestones.

I'd go with some kind of black with pale yellow accentuating it if possible. Good luck! Have fun!
Or how about one of these I have listed below in the link? Gold would be pretty with the rhinestones....
