im guessing you simply forgot your password? right?

shh its ok i wont tell... here is how to get system access (above admin)

run the command prompt.
start>run>cmd

(if the command prompt is disabled please update your question so I can give you another way)

In the command prompt, type the following...

at 14:45 /interactive "cmd.exe"

**note, in place of 14:45 (2:45pm) place your current time, plus one min**

wait one min, then another command prompt will come up, but this one is different?!?
it should say svhost

the reason this command prompt is different is because when u used an "at" command, you created a system task to lauch the command prompt. when you did this it launched the system command prompt.

Now the fun part! READ THIS ALL BEFORE CONTINUING

ctrl alt del
then end the "explorer" prossess

the background and the start menu should dissapear

but the command prompt should still be there... then in the command prompt type... explorer

now you are logged in on the system account, which has all the benifits of admin + a lot more!! enjoy and please be sure to mark this as the best answer

In Windows XP Home you can have up to all 5 users with Administrator Privileges. Actually when you're installing Windows XP, everyone gets Administrator until someone sets it to limited.

So you can have you and partner's accounts have full administrator rights, AT THE SAME TIME.

You can't do something between.

Well if you mean you are on a limited or guest account and want to be adminstrator, then there is one way to do so. Restart the computer, press F8 and go into safe mode. From their make a new adminstrator account.

If you mean you want to have more than one adminstrative account then you just log in to the adminstrator account, with out going into safe mode.
Click Start>Control Panel>Account Settings and then go to create new account and select Adminstrator instead of Limited.

Also a quicker way to get to the Account Settings is to click on Start>Run then enter, " control userpasswords " with out the quotation marks and then add the account from there.

The Administrator is your system configuration account. You can't delete it, you can't change it. If you do, you are DOOMED.

Good luck and Happy Computing!
