Pricewise, Graphicwise, Gamewise, which is better overall?

It really depends on what kind of games you enjoy playing. If you prefer playing first person shooters over platformers, the Xbox 360 is for you. I am personally getting both. I enjoy all kinds of games, and they both offer different things. You won't get the amazing graphics with the Wii, but you won't get the completely new way to play with the Xbox 360 either. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is my favorite game of all time, and Wii Sports is a blast to play with family and friends. You really need to try the Wii to realize its true potential. Wii is cheaper, so you are better off buying it and Zelda for the same price as the core Xbox system. It is definitely worth it.

Xbox 360.

Graphicwise, Gamewise and Pricewise. The online play is incredible and they have the best game out at the moment in Gears of War.

definatley get the 360 because the whole system is sweet pricewise it is a little bit more but it is really worth it because the graphics are amazing and eventually you will get tired of the wii trust me the nunchuck control idea gets old after a while. Also there are better games for the 360, except if you are a hardcore mario fan, then i guess the wii is the way to go

Pricewise, the wii, since nintendo is aiming to make the market approachable by slapping non-threatening price tags on all of their new merchandise. That is like the only logic behind it, other than the fact that it costs less to make wiis, probably due to not-as-great-but-still-quasi-okay hardware.

Gamewise, nintendo will milk their franchises until the day you die. if you like mario and link and pikachu and kirby, go for it. Oh, and you'll be able to further give them money for milking said franchises through the virtual console.

Graphicwise, xbox 360. visuals will never be a priority of nintendo.

Overall: right now the wii is probably better, but you have to wait and see how things pan out. save your money for now. The wii will only come out strong if it proves that it won't just be a gimmicky console that constantly uses motion-sensing in ho-hum ways, and the 360 will only do well if it gets some really good killer games out.

You can buy a 360, but there is a good chance that it will break in less then six months. The 360s are great fun, but everyones including mine is breaking. Do some google searchs on the (xbox 360 red rings of death) and you will see. Mine broke after four months of light use and XBOX charged me 140 bucks to repair it. Two guys at my work have already been through 3 systems now. See the links below for more information. Don't waste your hard earned money on a 360!!!

Big nintendo fan here, but I will have to side with saying get an Xbox 360 this holiday season. They have some pretty good games out right now, its been established. patched and updated, and it will be a whole lot easier to obtain than a Wii. However, if your money is running tight, or just can't wait to test out the new control system you could check out the Wii.

The Wii is cheaper than the Xbox 360. The graphics on the Wii are great. They have a lot of different games, where, that's what I was told, the 360 has mostly fighting games.

I have both, and if you want kick @$$ graphics, some pretty good games, and great online network, go with the 360. If you want awesome nostalgic games and adventure games, so-so graphics, and probably the best controller setup I've ever seen, go with the Wii. With the Wii the controller gets you completely involved in the game, while the 360 does it with graphics. What it comes down to is what's more important to you, graphics, or gameplay?

I think it depends on your age and the type of gaming you enjoy. For teens and older, I recommend XBOX 360 (think Halo 3 next year), and XBOX live. For those younger and not too interested in shooter games, go with Wii. It has more cartoon-type and sports-oriented games. Of course, right now, XBOX 360 is readily available in any store, whereas the Wii is hard to find. Good luck!
