A G-string and a V-string are the same thing, except the V-string is specifically found at Victoria's Secret, so it has their signature V at the back where the waist band meets the strip in the back.
It can also refer to the panties where the two sides don't meet in the back, but instead both go down in a V towards the butt.

A thong usually has a wider strip in the back, so there is more material there. A G-string is just a piece of elastic, while a thong has two strips of elastic that hold the fabric that comes around from the front up the back.

I thought a V-String is just a G-string from Victoria Sectet.. lol. I guess I dunno. A thong us a little bit thicker and usually has a material that goes around the waste, a G-String is a string around your waste with a thinner amount of material (or string) for your butt.
