AK-47 assault rifle. The most massed produced assault weapon on the planet. I'm sure man has used this weapon to kill more people than any other modern weapon. The Ak-47 probably has a long way to go, but I bet ya it will overtake the bronze spear point and the steele blade.

Words.
They sting....right to the heart. Once they are out, you can't take them back. The victims continue to live with the sting, the hurt, the insecurity of the words. Thay can be angry, deceptive, vicious, cruel, and haunting. Words are free, and anyone can use them...no training required to maim and injure the enemy, or perceived enemy.
Tons of words can be flung into battle, quickly, and without hesitation.
The sting stays, even after "I'm sorry".

Well- I don't know if this counts as "being built" but harsh words are extremely harmful- they take a long time to heal.

Biological weapons. At least a nuke generally kills quickly. Biological weapons kill slowly and painfully.
