i need science help!?

im studding for this test that will happen on wednesday and i dont know how to put the defention of what a clincal trial and a side effect in a sentence i know what they mean but i need a middle school sentence too write thanx!

Clinical trials are used to test drugs on people who agree to let scientists test on them. They know that there might be some side effects but agree anyhow because they might be paid or they know they are helping science.

Wait, you have to put the actual definition in the sentence, or just the words?
