I think Mike Piazza could re-sign with the Padres for probably a year. And Bonds I would have have to say retires not becoming the all-time homerun king (which I hope happens) unless a team is really desperate for attendance. But I wouldn't take attendance over laziness and a guy who has nothing left in his tank. All he's good for now are walks.

The A's have been in discussion with Bonds. It's hard to imagine him playing anywhere but San Francisco or Oakland. Someone could throw a lot of money at him I guess, but those are the frontrunners by a wide margin.
Word on Piazza is that he's likely to stay in San Diego. However, with Boche leaving as manager for the Giants, one has to wonder if Boche might recruit him there. Piazza has said in several articles that he liked the way he was utilized last year by Boche.

Well, i have a feel that Piazza could go to the Angels simply because they need power and he could catch for them. As for bonds i heard that it is between the Giants or the A's, personally i think that the Giants will give him the money he is asking for and let him go to the Hall in a Giant uniform. If the Giants do sign Bonds, i feel that Smidcht is gone.

Piazza will most likely stay in San Diego. He's had success there and his leadership can only help that team in a weak division.
Bonds, if you want my opinion, is headed to Oakland. He wants to say in the bay area but his usefullness as a National League player is gone. He cannot field the ball like he used too and w/o a DH there's obvious advantages for San Francisco to get someone else. Oakland, since Frank Thomas is going to Toranto, needs a quality DH and Barry would fit perfectly in that role and allow him to remain near his home.

Bonds - who should be headed to drug rehab - is probably headed across the Bay to Oakland as a DH. Last I heard, Piazza was headed for someplace in the American League as well so he can be a DH as well - where that someplace is, right now is anyone's guess.
