I'm disappointed because I really like the character Kramer, but I had no idea the actor was so dispicable. How in the world did he get past everyone, Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, etc., without showing his true colours?

I'm sorry Stuart, but why would you report my question as abuse? Are you a racist? Does this offend you?

Yes, I read that George Lopez thought he might have been 'coked up'. He sure did look like it. It was scary to watch.

I am disgusted w/every black person that feels they are owed something everytime someone says something they don't like.
NO money should be paid, these men could have walked out.
Why don't these same men pay money to Richards for callin him a cracker? Fair is fair.
I have never used that word and never will, but I am sick and tired of all this crap.
These people today have not lived the life their ancestors have, life is easier for them today but they are making the wrong choices and blaming others.

I bet theres thousands of people that have "went off" on whites or other groups and they aren't being sued or forced to give money.

Lets see...IF YOU DONT LIKE WHATS ON TV....CHANGE THE CHANNEL.

THESE MEN COULD HAVE LEFT BUT NO, THEY FUELED THE SITUATION AND NOW THEY WANT MONEY??

I'm sorry but NO black person has "earned" the right to say that word, it it VERY disrepectful to their ancestors, I'd like to hear what Bill Cosby has to say, after all, he got slammed for saying the truth about young black people today.

There are many choices today and alot of assistance and help people can get, but they choose a diff. route.

I think Michael Richards (even tho he should not have said what he did) just exploded because we always have to worry about offending certain groups but they don't think twice about offending others.

THIS 'N' WORD SHOULD NEVER BE SAID, THEIR ANCESTORS DONT DESERVE TO BE DISRESPECTED IN THIS WAY, IT IS NOT A TERM OF ENDEARMENT WHAT SO EVER.

Kramer was a character he played, the real Michael Richards is nothing like that... it's what makes him a good actor. I doubt anyone has ever heard him spout off like that before, it's easy to keep your opinions to yourself, he just lost control.

I grew up in a world where it took sticks and stones to break my bones - words could never hurt me. I think it is sad that silly words can cause so much uproar. How many blacks have called whites derogatory terms? Can we sue? I think it is sad because so many people are simply opportunists looking for an easy buck.

Cracker, beaner, nig ger, slope - all just words.

Real funny note - Yahoo censored nig ger and not the other words. Why is one more offensive than another?

Anyone would have snapped, in his situation. Don't blame him.
It's rude and crude to heckle performers, besides, rappers say worse in their rap songs and their vile music videos. The hecklers have said and done much worse themselves. How often does one hear them venomously spewing the "N" word, c'mon! They shold "clean-up" their own mouth before pointing fingers. When one says things in public (rappers, etc., it legitimizes the word and, it is therefore, okay for anyone to use it.
If people don't like, tell the rappers and others to discontinue use of the word and it will disappear from everyone's vocabulary. Don't shoot the messenger! Don't blame Michael. I don't see anyone coming down on the rappers, other than Bill O'Reilly.

Ok its not like he was going to a clan meeting while taping Seinfeld. He let his emotions get the best of him. And he spout off about something that is still taboo for a white comic to speak about. I wouldn't go as far as to say he was a true bigget, but I would say he has a bit of resentment towards blacks.

Now I'm just speculating here, but as soon as I heard about what he said I thought it might have been drug-induced. That could explain why he feels he's not racist and also why his friends and colleagues don't think of him as a racist. Coke makes you crazy and angry, but like I said, I'm just speculating. I don't know of any drug problems he's had and I'm not saying he's on drugs. It's simply my own opinion.

It's all so pathetic. Who cares if he called a n*ggar a n*ggar!?! I get called a fat b!tch now and again too, you don't see me boo-hoo-ing over it. All people are entitled to say whatever they wish rather it's right or wrong. And believe it or not, there are worse things that a person could be besides a "racist" like a mass murderer or a child molester. People need to get over it!!!

maybe a public situation hadnt come up,,, or else not one in which he lost control. many censor theirselves when they know they are around people who dont agree, especially in a business situation. who knows how he talked privately with those very close to him,,,,,, also, we dont know if drugs of any type played a role that night , i worked with a woman, who was very racist, she never showed anything in public,,,,, but after i knew her better, was shocked at some of the things that came out of her mouth, when we were in private,

Lisa,
I commend you for feeling so disappointed in this actor...and it shows that even those in the majority can be that empathetic to other's plight. I don't know why that guy reported you for this -- what a dud.
Thanks

Its not his true colors......he made a mistake, he was frustrated and upset, and blurted out some things to try to get back at the hecklers......Why do people always have to make a big deal over things? Forgive him, forget it, and move on people!!!
