usually when driving the police will give you a 5-10mph grace above the speed limit. I saw a lot of cars pulled over on I75 just north of Toledo in Michigan.

Are they passing tickets for 75, 80, 85mph? what kinds of grace to they allow?

There actually is no set grace speed limit. Most states have fines that exist for going even 1 mph over the speed limit. Typically they have a set fine for 1-5 mph over, 6-10 mph over 11-15mph over and 15+ over. It's really up to the cop to determine if he wants to pull you over for going only 1 mph over the speed limit.

I usually won't venture more than 5mph over the posted limit.
