William Shakespeare:
Love all, trust a few.

There is a reason for that. The world is corrupt in many ways-one needs to be watchful. Not Trusting doesn't mean you don't care or love-you might appreciate many things about that person. It just means you are mindful of many things that plague mankind. It is a safeguard (a blessing even)-given us, we need to appreciate it.and use this protection.

Look at the animal world-what if they had no safeguard?

You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you don't trust enough.( Both of these are true).

Sometimes full trust takes a long time-it is usually worth the wait. Some are impatient and can not wait.. (Both could lose)

I wish I had a better answer to this problem of trust-I wish it was a better world. If it was a better world maybe trusting would not be an issue.

In answer-no I don't trust easy--but when I do it is strong enough to withhold many storms. Because it waited for a good foundation to be built.

Frankly, I do not trust people easily. I know this is bad for me. Cuz I have to learn to trust. I think this derived from my past childhood background where I was raised in a very abusive environment. I used to trust others easily before.... really easily. But I experienced so many bad things from people that I trusted.
So, I grew up to think 2 steps forward in life and not to trust anybody cuz to me people were just disappointment. But now I start to learn how to trust and believe even really hard for me. But I strive hardly.

I used to..but now I am more aware and don't trust people easily
the crazy thing is the more you don't trust...the more you can't trust yourself...(to much on your plate)
so its a sort of paradox..damned if you do damned if you don't
give a little take a little is best

ABSOLUTELY NOT.... My motto is : "I trust people as far as I can throw them".

Obviously since I cannot throw anyone very far, I therefore do not trust them.

Myself I trust to no end... I never lead me astray and I always have the answers I am looking for. Damn I am good !!

Obviously you do, if you use answers given by anonymous people on a website without any form of accountability.

No, especially not women, and unfortunately, not even some close family members. I think I'm just insecure and overprotective of myself. I don't think they're really gonna hurt me... I hope not, anyway!
