i got a new 55 gal tank and got some algae eaters and some goldfish , how do i make algae grow faster?
(the fish tank can not get direct sunlight, its not near a window)

Problem 1. too little algae- Light and nutrients make algae. I would suggest getting algae wafers instead of growing algae but you can feed more often and leave the tank light on more

Problem 2. Fish compatability- Gold fish are cool water fish and 90% of algae eaters (probably the ones you have) are warm water fish. You are putting the fish together and lowering their immune system. You have a potential fish germfest on your hands. You need to research your fish and fix this problem or you will have a bunch of sick and/or dead fish.

You can leave the light on and put a heater in if you don't already have one. Use some algae discs as well-so the algae eaters get different nutrients.

algea grows maturally and takes time but really the only thing you can do to make it go faster is leave the lights on 24/7
