can someone outline one that would work well in a story about an old man, similar to http://www.americantriallaw.com/photos/web/judebasile.jpg.

Please make it realistic, not something like,, he's a kindergarten teacher who's overnight job is being a hitman, or kidnapping kids.

He crosses over Checkpoint Charlie once a week riding a bicycle, but he's actually stealing the bicycles, and selling them in East Berlin, then he just walks back through on foot.

i heard one similar to the one the guy above said but it was w/ camels...
the checkpoint security guy always checked this one guy b/c he knew he was transporting illegal goods but never found any. after the guy retired one day, he saw the camel guy at the marketplace and told him that he knew he was illegal transporting goods and asked what it was and how he got by him. the camel guy replies that it was camels
i thought that was neat and it also showed how when people become carried away with their goals and objectives, they lose sight of the obvious (and i guess you could say they lose sight of the bigger picture-the camel in this case)
