The stove is a 1950s Tappan Deluxe. I was thinking of using it in my cabin.
Are there any web sites on this subject?

Thanks!

You have to change the natural gas jets to propane gas jets because they are different size. Your hardware store or propane supplier should have whatyou need. As to the other part here you go. Hope this helps.

You need to contact the manufacturer of the stove to see if they have a kit to convert it to propane. The main difference between natural gas and propane is they have different fuel/air ratios. The stove will require a new orifice in order to burn propane. The orifice controls the amount of gas that is mixed with air when it burns.

1950s?!!!Tappan Deluxe. That era stove can be modified to
use natural gas or propane; BUT, you need to know what you're
doing!---it's actually very simple; but, Gawd man, if this stove is in real good shape, Tappan might swap out a new propane stove for your good used stove; OR, convert it for free for PR brownie
points.

For liability concerns, if I were Tappan, I would not show you how
to convert this stove to propane!

you should be able to change the orifice in the line. if not remove all old line & put in new.you should be able to get what you need at a home center..
you could also remove all of your lines & hook your charcoal gas tank up, with the right fittings.
enjoy the cabin=sounds nice good luck itch

On a range that old you will need to change the orifices and they will be difficult to track down. The regulator must also be changed.

I think you have to change out the jets.

Google "natural gas to propane conversion"

i think that without modifying anything you can use lPG for using it.beacause in villages the villagers use methane and ethane in their normal gas stoves
