Because the baby's bones aren't that really hard, you may notice some movements more than others. Not only that but because they are so little there is a lot of room in your tummy, so you may not feel a lot of the movements. I experienced the same thing. I start noticing a lot of his movements in my 6th month.

At the moment they baby is still small and maybe laying in a different position than normal so you might nit feel it as much but if you heard the baby's heart beat then that's fine if you have any worries see your doctor about it then they will be able t check you over to give you peace of mind, When you reach around 26 weeks you should feel the baby move around 10 times a day any lower see a doctor but make sure you count the littlest movements aswell!
Good luck with your baby xx

first off, congrats on the baby!! alright, you are 20 weeks along so you will feel the baby move every so often. some days it may be more than the next. since your still in the early stages of your pregnancy, the baby isn't quite strong enuf for you to feel its every move. once you are further along you will feel the little guy/girl moving around trying to get out for sure! the Baby Center's Website is actually a great referral if you ever have questions or concerns with your pregnancy. if you still aren't feeling any defining movements in your belly by the 25th week, i would make an appointment with your local ob/gyn just to be sure.

I got scared about the same thing but I was told by my doctor and mother that around this age the baby starts trying to get into a sleep pattern.I don't know how many times I called my mother asking if I should be feeling it.She said the baby will sleep for a while and if it goes on for a day or so that's still normal because he/she probably does move but just around the same time you're probably moving. If you do get concerned, count how many times he/she moves or just ask your doctor. That's what they're there for.:) Hope it helps....

Although it is scary, it is very normal. The babies movements will become more and more frequent as the weeks go on. By about 26 weeks, the baby should be very active. Try not to worry.

There's no set amount. It's different with each baby and woman. Feel free to ask a doc or midwife though.

I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Some women don't feel their baby move until 24 weeks.

Seriously, as for the answer above. Midwives are wonderful at their job! Dr.s are too quick on the knives.

it's not that unusual. every baby is different. if it really worries you though, could you call your midwife and try again expressing your concern? By the way, I think it WONDERFUL that you have a midwife and not a doctor (unlike the answerer above).

Movement comes and goes. Some people have gone an entire pregnancy and never felt movement (not common). Check with your doctor...no reason to stress yourself!! Good luck!!
